I am sure this will ruffle a few feathers, but so be it.
At what point do we as Black people wake up and start making things happen on a larger scale? When do we get off of our knees praying, trying to assimilate and actually do something as a community? I do believe pray changes things, but you also have to put in the work. . Our people have been praying for centuries for the Lord to deliver us, to make this jacked up world right… We, we need to do our part and put the work in to make it happen. We must teach our kids the history of what has happened so that they do not let it repeat. We have to build families with strong bonds and emotionally healthy children who can lead us into the future without this absurd entitlement mindset.
If only one side of the equation is exercised, the problem does not get solved. You can have all the positive attitude that you want in weight loss, but if you don’t put in the work, you will not have great success.
In addition to prayer, It is time to get up off our knees and put the work in people!
